Requirements:
Must be 18 years old
Must have a valid driver's license
Must be able to meet the requirements of one of our 4 membership categories
Membership Categories:
In District Interior Firefighter
Must have a NYS interior firefighter certification or be enrolled in a course within 1 year of joining, and successfully complete the course
Must obtain a First Aid/CPR certification within first year of membership
Must respond to a minimum of 10% of all alarms including both fire and EMS
Attend 2 drills per month while a probationary member, and then 1 drill per month after.
In District EMS Only
Must have a NYS EMT certification or be enrolled in a course within 1 year of joining, and successfully complete the course
Must respond to a minimum of 10% of all alarms including both fire and EMS
Attend 2 drills per month while a probationary member, and then 1 drill per month after.
Duty Shift Programs
For volunteers who live out of the Cleveland Hill Fire District we offer a Duty Shift Program
Instead of responding to 10% of all alarms, a Duty Shift member must participate in 24 hours of shifts per month
Both Interior Firefighter and EMS only membership is eligible for the Duty Shift Program
